He did let me borrow a loaner car for the time the work was being done, so at least I had a vehicle to get back and forth to work. I greatly appreciate that service.
I brought my vehicle in for a brake job, and it ended up being a huge job that took much longer, and came out to over a thousand dollars by the time it was done (for what I thought was just a simple brake job).
Unfortunately there was a lot more work that needed to be done than I had anticipated.
At the end of the day, I'm happy with the work done. He explained to me what needed to be done (after I went in to find out what was going on), and he was very thorough in showing me the issues. I understood the problems, but I just wish that I would have been asked first, before they ripped (and destroyed) stuff off my vehicle and ordered new parts at my expense. The backing plate was rusted on, but instead of calling me and informing me that it was going to have to be broken to be removed, they took an air chisel to it and literally ripped it apart (again, this was a brake job that I went in for).
I don't mind that the work was done, but I did have a problem with them doing the work before contacting me asking if I wanted to sink the money into it. I don't know if that was a fault on the mechanic, or the front-end phone guy. Either way, my money was spent without asking me first, which I wasn't overly thrilled with.

I would highly recommend Browns garage ! I drive an old car that is sometimes hard to work on ,its hard to find parts ! The mechanics are always very honest about the problem with my car . The bill is always more than fair ! Everyone at Browns are very friendly . I am a repeat customer and will continue to go to Browns garage ! If you have a problem with your car take it to Browns !
Overall the biggest thing that's lacking is communication. I would have been fine with the work if I knew it was being done before it was actually done.
The owner is honest, does good work and he is our son.
